Centre of the German imperial era

A relatively small area with living quarters, administration and supply buildings (casino) is located between Brückenstraße and Tauentzienstraße. The centre of Jüterbog II can be found here at the old intersection of Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße and Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße.

The square Water Tower (4) is one of the first buildings of 189/1896. The staff building of the field artillery school is right next it. A concrete Reichsadler (imperial eagle) was mounted on its façade in the 1930s and was partly destroyed in 1946. This complex is terminated by the sentry and detention house.

This building was designed by Hermann Ende from Berlin, government building officer and architect of many state buildings in Germany and Japan.
