The Alt Ruppiner cemetery

Richard Mutz's grave in the Alt Ruppin cemetery (6) is adorned with a relief portrait on a clinker wall. It shows a raised hand and a sun and was designed by Mutz himself. The motto "Befreit Euch vom Fluch des Goldes" ("free yourself from the curse of gold") reflects the reformist economic ideals put to the test in Gildenhall.

Other famous Gildenhall craftsmen include the carpenter Walter Voigt who came from the German workshops in Dresden Hellerau and the theatre sculptor and painter Harry Großmann (1896 - 1961) from Coburg.
